Wallpaper Printers...

I have a list in my sketchbook of digital printers I could use to get my wallpaper printed. However I would like to use one thats in London so I can collect the prints, proof them and see the paper types first.
I have found a couple. The first is Thames Barrier Print Studios: http://thamesbarrierprintstudio.wordpress.com/digital-printing/ They print on different kinds of papers, giving me the textured look I want. However on their website the biggest they do is A0 so a very big poster. I need to find out if they do custom sizes for wallpaper or possibly by design could be a wall piece instead.
The second is Fabpad situated in the University of East London. They print up to 150cm wide and any length, so perfect for wallpaper. They print on different papers, at different prices and you get a free ten minute consultation.

Paper Bag Research...

Just wanted to put together the different possible bags Ive found to buy to print onto:
Ebay:
Can print onto the front and then if storing stickers in the bags, you can see whats in there. 6''x6'' - £1.85 for 60.
100 White Sulphite bags 7''x9.5''- £1.49

                                                      12 White sweet bags 10''x5'' - £1.09

                                          Crafty Computer Papers 160x240mm £5.25 for 20

V&A

I found these super cute bags that go so well with my project in the V&A shop today! I think they would be good to print my illustrations on to or use to store the stickers that will go with my wallpaper. I might also try to make my own using my backgrounds.

Something in the air....

As often found with ideas and designs, sometimes you find something similar to yours somewhere else.
On my way home today I popped into Paperchase near Charing X. I wanted to purchase good quality paper to print my work on and thought a sketchbook would do. However I found they have this great range of packaged paper in different textures specifically suitable for printers. Perfect!

At the moment I have a great flat but....

I can't wait to have my own house, then.... guess what?! I can draw it! Wooo! Haha

Also sometimes I think where my wallpaper is going, it has a theme which is parisian. This has the potential to be part of a series which I won't have time to do while at Uni. I could go to different cities, different countries, and draw what makes them and make moreeee streetsss.

Houses, houses and more houses

House illustration found on the lovely Etsy

I Wonder...

I wonder if I could ever be good enough to be an illustrator. When in Liverpool I came across a lovely book in the Tate shop by Alice Melvin called The High Street. It reminded me of the kind of work I'm doing at the moment. I would love to illustrate a book. Maybe. Haha.
Here's said book and then some more of Alice's work.

Print rollers

These pattern rollers found on etsy look amazing!

Mark Hearld - Lino printer

I'm currently looking into Lino printing and trying it out with some of my shops/building drawings. It was originally Marks harvest hare wallpaper that inspired me.
